our story

Founder Angela da Costa (BSc Hons, Cert Ed, IFPA)

After teaching Complementary and Aromatherapy in FE for over 30yrs, Angela began the skincare journey some years ago, holding workshops to teach how to make personalised skin creams, serums, butters and balms. They became a popular way for those who wanted to know how to make creams containing pure natural ingredients, organically grown, plant based and natural.
All the ingredients are sourced from rigorously researched suppliers, with no artificial ingredients parabens and are cruelty free.
It is so important in the world we live in today, to feel confident in doing our bit for sustainability. But its not just that, we need to be assured that what we put on our skin is of the highest quality, looking after our skin (the largest organ of the body), protecting, nourishing and feeding it.
Fast forward to recent developments…. This recipe for the tattoo cream was done with the involvement of the family to find the best recipe to aid the healing, soothing and protecting properties required by those passionate enough to add their own unique art designs to their skin.
Tattooing by its very nature of piercing the upper layers, puts the skin in protection mode, it becomes red, angry and swollen, what it need is the soothing application of a purely natural product, made entirely of ingredients to calm, protect and allow the healing process to begin, and that’s where aromatherapy came in. Knowledge of plant based fixed oils, butters and the magical properties of essential oils is how we produced Tatfat.
Lavender and Frankincense are two of the most valuable healing oils on the planet. For more information on the other ingredients, please look at the website, its too much info for here!
You can be assured that this cream has been tried and tested over the last 5 years to get what we believe to be the ultimate care for your skin and your tattoos.
